Teak is known as “the king of woods.” The heartwood displays golden-yellow to medium brown color and the sapwood reflects yellow-white color. Teak is rich in oil, which made it highly resistant to decay and termite. Therefore, teak has become one of the designated materials for luxury yachts and sailboats. The rich oil also gives teak floors a visually waxy feel. The color of teak decks and stairs will gradually change to golden-brown over time, which will make it look more elegant.
